AI Disclosure & Disclaimer

Last updated: 2026-08-06

AI-TaxPlan is an AI-powered service. This page states plainly which AI models are used and what each one does, where your input goes, what is and is not done with it, and how we configure the models in ways that affect their output. It is written to be read, not to be technically survivable.

AI-generated content may contain errors. Every finding, recommendation, dollar estimate, citation and report produced by this Service is generated algorithmically and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Use your own professional judgment before relying on any of it for a financial, tax, or legal decision — including anything you pass on to a client, put in a filing, or act on yourself. Verify every figure and every citation against primary sources first.

1. Which models we use, and what each one does

All language models used by the Service are Claude models operated by Anthropic and reached over Anthropic's API. Different steps use different models. Specific model versions change as newer ones are released; the roles below are stable, and the version names are current as of the date above.

StepModelWhat it does
InspectorClaude SonnetReads the uploaded tax return and client profile, reconciles figures against the attached schedules, and reports findings and data gaps.
StrategistClaude OpusProduces the strategy plan — which strategies apply, the dollar math, and the citations.
AuditorClaude SonnetReviews the Strategist's output for eligibility, arithmetic and duplication and returns a verdict. This is an automated check, not professional review by a human.
Assistant, intake, screening, chat widgetClaude Haiku and Claude SonnetThe in-app assistant, conversational intake, the rapid pre-screen, document field extraction, and the optional lead-capture widget a firm can embed on its own website.
Knowledge-base searchCloudflare Workers AI embedding model (@cf/baai/bge-large-en-v1.5)Converts tax-law reference text and search queries into numeric vectors so the knowledge base can be searched by meaning. This runs on Cloudflare, not Anthropic.

2. Where your input goes

When an analysis runs, the client profile, any uploaded return, and any notes entered are transmitted to Anthropic through its API for processing and returned to us. Knowledge-base queries are additionally processed by Cloudflare Workers AI. Those are the only two AI providers that receive your content — it is not sent to OpenAI, Google Gemini, or any other model vendor.

How long we retain your content, and how to have it deleted, is covered in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

3. Training — we do not train on your content

We do not use your content, your clients' content, or the outputs generated for you to train any AI model. Anthropic's commercial terms state that prompts and outputs submitted through its API are not used to train Anthropic's models, and Cloudflare states the same for Workers AI. We rely on those contractual commitments; we do not independently audit either vendor's training pipelines.

4. Opt-out — stated honestly

There is no setting that keeps the analysis features working while preventing AI processing, because the AI processing is the analysis. What you do control:

If you do not want a particular client's return processed by a third-party AI provider, do not upload it.

5. How outputs are prioritized — our configuration, disclosed

AI output from this Service is not a neutral survey of the tax code. The models operate inside rules we configure, and those rules affect which strategies appear, in what order, and with what dollar figure. We disclose them here rather than leave you to infer them:

6. This is not tax, legal, or financial advice

Nothing produced by this Service constitutes tax, legal, financial or investment advice, and nothing here changes your obligations under our Terms of Service — in particular sections 7 and 10, which govern AI outputs and the disclaimer of professional advice. All output must be independently evaluated and approved by the subscribing licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent before any client communication, any filing, or any action taken in reliance on it.

7. Wiki Legal — introductions to independent tax counsel

Wiki Legal puts you in touch with an independent tax attorney. Despite the name it is not a reference work, a database or a legal research tool — it is an introduction only. Any attorney you engage this way is not our employee, partner or agent; they are separately engaged by you, they set and collect their own fee, and no part of that fee is paid to or shared with us. Their advice is theirs and is governed by your engagement with them, not by these terms — and it does not make anything produced by this Service legal advice. We do not send your client's return, plan or personal information to counsel when you request an introduction; we pass on your own contact details and the note you write, and you decide what to share from there.
